Celebrate SAROS' first 2 years of release with us!

SAROS' long-awaited original song contest is finally here! We originally hoped to hold SAROS' contest around this time last year, but with everything going on for the development of our new voices for Synthesizer V Studio 2, it was not possible at that time. We hope songwriters will be excited to participate! Given the busy time of year both for our users and for our team, we are also extending the length of the submission period compared to our previous contests.

Entry Period: December 6, 2025 - February 6, 2026 (until 11:59 PM PST)

Entries will be anonymized during judging, which will take place in February after the contest concludes.

First Place

$1500 USD Delivered via PayPal

Physical or Digital editions of all Eclipsed Sounds voice databases  (depending on availability)* available before the judging period ends.

Winning participant may also elect to have their song uploaded to the Eclipsed Sounds channel, with a new video created in cooperation & funded by Eclipsed Sounds.

Contest Terms

Any violations of the requirements below will immediately disqualify the entry.

Entrant Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older to participate, or have permission from a parent or guardian. (This is necessary to receive monetary prizes due to PayPal's terms of use.)
  • Entrants can submit as many songs as they wish - however, the entrant will only be able to win one prize place.
  • Entries may be created by multiple collaborators, but must be submitted by a single representative. That representative will be the prize recipient & point of contact if the entry wins a prize place.

Song Requirements

  • Songs must be new, original works by the entrant published for the first time during the submission period, and may not be re-arrangements or covers of previously released works. Any plagiarism will also disqualify the entry.
  • Entrant affirms that the submission is their own work and that they have permission for usage of any and all audio clips, software instruments, melodies, lyrics, and visual material included in their entry.
  • Songs must be uploaded publicly on a user's chosen platform.
  • Songs using the Lite voice database cannot be uploaded to streaming services where the user profits from uploading music (in accordance with the Lite voice usage agreement)
  • Entries must use at least one of the following voice databases, for 60% or more of the vocals of the entered song.
    • Synthesizer V Studio: SAROS, SAROS English Lite, or SAROS Spanish Lite 
    • Synthesizer V Studio 2: SAROS II
  • Entries cannot feature synthesized vocals other than:
    • Synthesizer V Studio: SOLARIA, ASTERIAN, SAROS, NYL, SOLARIA Lite or ASTERIAN Lite
    • Synthesizer V Studio 2: SOLARIA II, ASTERIAN II, SAROS II, NYL II, HXVOC, or GALENAIA
  • Entries must be at least 2 minutes in length and cannot exceed 7 minutes
  • Entrants can feature their own voice alongside any of the allowed synthetic vocals if desired.
  • The song's lyrics may be written in any language.
  • Lyrical content may not contain excessive profanity, defamatory content, or discriminatory language. Sexual content is also discouraged, but "radio-friendly" sexual content will be allowed and not affect judging.
  • Entries must not use voice conversion or morphing software or service.
  • Entries must not use AI song or melody generation services.
  • Entries must not use lyrics generated by any AI generation service.

  • Entries may not utilize AI-generated artwork in the submission.

 

Entry Usage Agreement

Entries will be displayed on a contest summary page on the website upon contest winner announcement, as well as collected in playlists on uploaded platforms. Entries will not be used for promotional purposes other than as links to or embeds of entrant-submitted uploads, displayed on social media, newsletters, and website platforms of Eclipsed Sounds.

Needing inspiration for your song? Here are some additional references for SAROS including their initial character concept. Adherence to these will have no impact on judging whatsoever, but this is something we were asked often during previous contests!

SAROS Official Assets & Character Concept

SAROS is themed around the stars, and was originally conceptualized as a deity who shines so brightly that they often miss the small things around them, but is committed to helping in any way possible. SAROS is a person who always wants others to succeed in their highest aspirations, and is an extremely hard worker. Despite being a fun-loving and energetic person on the surface, SAROS is always willing to put in the time and effort for others' dreams - both directly and by trying to work things out behind the scenes. A "star" who fervently supports the "wishes" of people.

SAROS' name also calls to the vocal design concept for SAROS, the idea of dualities and cycles, one who filled the gap between SOLARIA and ASTERIAN effortlessly. SAROS' original visual identity draws from glam rock styles, a genre that SAROS' voice provider knows very well.

SAROS "Lite" Trial Voice Databases

For those who may not own SAROS, we are also releasing SAROS' Lite voice databases as planned for the original Synthesizer V Studio. Unlike our other voice databases, SAROS is bilingual, and so we are releasing both an English and Spanish Lite voice for SAROS. 

The Lite database is a free, reduced-quality version of SAROS missing some features, and, like all Synthesizer V Lite voices, it cannot be used commercially, and any public usages must indicate in the description & prominently in the title/caption/associated video that it uses “SAROS Lite".

Please note, this Lite version is only available for the original Synthesizer V Studio.

Terms of Usage for Lite Voice Databases

By downloading Eclipsed Sounds Lite voice databases, you agree to the following:

  • Any uploads of content featuring the Lite voice database will prominently credit it as "SAROS Lite".
  • The Lite voice database will not be used commercially in any way for profit, and works created with it will not be uploaded to streaming services.
