“ALIVE AGAIN” by Anemonie

The fight for our final winning place was extremely close, so we also wanted to spotlight “ALIVE AGAIN” by Anemonie as a runner-up! This song had an incredible balance of usage with the artificial and realistic possibilities of SAROS’ voice, and we were so charmed by it overall! It’s definitely the type that gets stuck in your head for days on end - really great work!

Winning Songs

Fifth Place

“☆ The well-forgotten old ☆” by Flannyr

We were totally blown away by this one! Flannyr shows off an expert understanding of SAROS’ voice and style in “☆ The well-forgotten old ☆”, and compliments that with an undeniable groove! This song is so wonderful, we absolutely loved every moment of it.

Fourth Place

Du Du Danyon · Nobody | SAROS

“Nobody” by DuDuDanyon

This piece was totally compelling from moment one! The rhythm, the story, and the earnest feelings contained within painted a picture that we couldn’t resist. DuDuDanyon creates a feeling in this song that balances a relentless rhythm and a mounting feeling of desperation into a truly unforgettable experience.

Third Place

Kkiquu · Kkiquu - Idol (I Bet) ft. SAROS lite [SAROS Original Song Contest]

“Idol (I Bet)” by Kkiquu

Addictive pop production is on full display in “Idol (I Bet)” by Kkiquu and we couldn’t get enough of it! The lyrics in particular blend effortlessly with the production to create that perfect ego-pop nostalgia in a way that is pulled off flawlessly. This song is amazingly tightly written while still remaining understated and chilled out, and we definitely see ourselves listening to it over and over.

Second Place

“Starlight” by the team of isidore., Sean Layfield, LINK-P‬,  & ‪Lucevitous, with vocal edit by ePiaeon

This song is an experience all its own! Equal parts beautiful and jaw-dropping, this piece is an absolute showstopper. “Starlight” is powerful and doesn’t pull a single punch, musically or lyrically, and it’s all the better for it. We were also pleasantly surprised by the additions made with two of our other vocals, ASTERIAN and HXVOC! Incredible work done here.

First Place

“Rumor” by Mar Smaae

The heart in this song is absolutely undeniable. Paired with an utterly perfect usage and understanding of SAROS’ voice, the song’s progression and melody are just absolutely flawless. Warm and nostalgic feelings mix perfectly with the bittersweet and layered story told by the song itself, and every moment of it is purely wonderful. Congratulations!

From our entire team, congratulations to all of our winners! We will be in touch over email in the coming days regarding prize delivery and any next-steps. Thank you all so much for your incredible work, and for sharing it with us!

Closing & Housekeeping

I would just like to thank you all for your patience with these contest results. We have had a lot of difficulty behind the scenes this year, and when you’re a team as small as we are, delays pile up very quickly once they begin. The contest judging was unfortunately the most affected by the delays as with our process, fair judging takes concentrated commitment from all 3 team members. This adds a layer of difficulty when existing delays were already heavily weighing on our workloads, so I hope that you know that I am extremely grateful for the grace shown to us on this, and I’m sure the rest of the team is as well.

Right now, we’re finally wrapping up development on our next voice, and should be able to formally announce it soon. We do have a few others in the pipeline as well, but with how things have been delayed recently, I can’t say for certain when those will be ready.

What I can say though is that our next project has come together in a way that exceeded our expectations significantly, and I am so excited for everyone to meet this next voice! Thank you again for your patience and understanding on the time taken to deliver these contest results, as well as all of your support, and I hope you’ll look forward to what we’ve got coming up!
